Atlan closed a $105 million Series C led by Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC and Meritech Capital Partners, an early backer of Snowflake and Datadog. Existing investors including Salesforce Ventures and Peak XV Partners also took part, along with Insight Partners and WaterBridge Ventures, pushing the data and AI governance company's total funding past $206 million.
Founded in 2019 by Prukalpa Sankar and Varun Banka, Atlan acts as a central hub over a company's data stack, cataloguing metadata so teams can find, trust and govern data across warehouses, lakehouses and BI tools. The company reported a sevenfold rise in revenue over the prior two years.
