Chalo, a startup digitising bus travel and daily commutes, raised $40 million in a Series C round led by Lightrock and Filter Capital. The company said it would put the money toward technology, a deeper presence across Indian cities, and expansion into international markets.
Chalo offers live bus tracking and mobile ticketing to make public transport more predictable for riders. As a WaterBridge portfolio company, the round drew commentary from the firm's Manish Kheterpal.
