CityMall co-founder and CEO Angad Kikla set out the company's plan to serve the next 500 million Indian consumers, many in smaller towns who struggle to buy everyday essentials that are both affordable and aspirational. He described a virtual kirana model that digitises how neighbourhood stores operate, using local community partners to reach buyers and keeping the cost per order under about Rs 60.

Kikla framed that low per-order cost as the basis for offering competitive prices without eroding unit economics. The WaterBridge portfolio company is expanding the approach one market at a time.
