Loopworm, an Indian biomanufacturing startup that turns silkworms into insect-based protein, raised $3.25 million in a pre-Series A round. The company makes protein ingredients aimed at aquaculture and animal feed, positioning insect biomass as an alternative to conventional feed inputs.
Co-founded by Ankit Alok Bagaria and Abhi Gawri, the WaterBridge portfolio company plans to put the capital toward expanding production.
