Loopworm raised $3.25 million to commercialise a recombinant protein platform built on silkworms. The company engineers the insects to produce recombinant proteins, starting with diagnostics, animal vaccines, and other applications that carry lower regulatory hurdles.
The funding supports the shift from lab-stage work toward commercial output. Ankit Alok Bagaria and Abhi Gawri co-founded the WaterBridge-backed firm.
