Manish Kheterpal, a private equity veteran, floated WaterBridge Ventures, an early-stage fund of about $15 million, roughly Rs 100 crore. The SEBI-registered, India-domiciled fund set out to back startups that keep technology at their core, spread across areas such as consumer mobile apps in media and telecom, ed-tech, health-tech and fin-tech.

The fund focused on the pre-Series A to Series A stage, planning to invest between about Rs 75 lakh and Rs 3.5 crore in 12 to 15 companies, with a fund life of five to seven years.
