Sumit Jain, a co-founder of Unacademy who ran its test-preparation business, has stepped away from his operating role and will continue as an advisor. His departure comes ahead of a proposed merger between Unacademy and upGrad, for which the two companies have filed for approval with the Competition Commission of India. Jain had been with Unacademy since 2020.
