Unacademy's founders are stepping back from day-to-day operations as part of a wider strategic shift at the edtech company. Co-founder Gaurav Munjal is leaving the CEO role, and board member Sumit Jain has been appointed chief executive.

Fellow co-founders Roman Saini and Hemesh Singh are also moving out of operating positions. The change hands leadership of the WaterBridge portfolio company to Jain as it reworks its direction.
